Went for a shoot for Panasonic on the 4th of Feb ‘07.. well i was free as i was having my holiday so i decided to take on the job eventhough the pay was low. The first job from Tfs.. Met lots of new friends over there.. They were all from Tfs.. Lol.. okay it all started when i woke up at 5am in the morning.. gosh! this is what i hate about Tv ad.. got ready by 6.. left my house at 615.. had to be there by 630 latest 7.. well i made it since it was a SUnday.. lol.. at first i couldnt find transport coz my parents didnt want to fetch me there and i doubt they would let me use the car.. so i persuaded them the night before and at last they decided to fetch me there but i’ve got find my own transport back coz they wont be free… So that kinda got me worried.. Asked Tfs if there’s anyone staying in subang so i can get a lift back and all.. well i went there with luck.. hopefully i can find someone to drop me back at subang..
When i reach the stadium,they provided me breakfast so are the rest.. they had nasi lemak, mee goreng and mee hoon if i’m not mistaken.. but i didnt eat.. it was too early in the morning n it had sambal in it.. Sambal is a No-No for my stomach especially in the morning, the first meal -no way-.. if its for lunch and so on its fine.. yea.. so i rather not take the chance.. or else i’ll release unwanted gas.. lol.. while sitting on the chair *of coz* in a table.. met a few friends over there.. even from scottland.. syria.. London.. Men its cool.. they were all very friendly and fun.. i think without them, the shoot will be "dead".. thats what i think.. haha.. basically those foreigners they work together for Herbalife in msia.. so any of you guys reading this, if you wanna have a healthier life let me noe! either gain weight or loss weight.. lol..!! n i think it works.. no kidding~
ok back to the story.. we started shooting at i dont know what time.. around 8 i guess.. well the advertisement is about promoting panasonic camera.. and the crowd are taking pictures of kids playing football.. something like that.. it started well.. we did 6 scenes in about 12 hours.. rest and shoot rest and shoot.. tv ad no fun.. lol.. around 10 i was already feeling hungry i do not know why but i was starving to death.. we had 10 min rest so i went and grab 2 pieces of bread with jam.. that filled me a lil, at least something though.. then we went back to shoot.. around 1 we had our lunch.. at last a proper meal.. i ate chicken rice.. the food wasnt that bad.. i dont know.. maybe i was hungry.. lol.. we’ve talked and rest for quite awhile.. then i met a long lost friend over there, Su Lynn.. didnt recognise her at first but after awhile i remembered her.. lol.. knew her from a buddhist youth camp which is erm a few years back.. from there i’ve found my way back to subang.. thank god!
Here comes the worse part.. after lunch, when we walked out the building(the place where we ate).. n it was hot.. as in DAMN FREAKING H-O-T.. the sun was killing us.. we had no choice but to do the shoot.. there’s no shade coz the stadium is an open air stadium.. just sits, grass and poles.. yes sad but true.. from there i had my sun burn.. =( at first i thought it wasnt that bad but it turned out real bad.. Gosh i hate the sun! i love bathing in hot water and now it hurts when i bathe using hot water.. and it even hurts when i touch my neck.. so sad~ im so NOt gonna do any ad under such hot sun anymore.. thats for real.. Never.. Anyways, after the 6th scene.. which was around 530, we were told that there was another last scene.. so we waited because they were going to shoot the kids.. we waited until 7 and some of us really wanted to go back.. n i was wondering how long will they take because during the briefing, they told me that the scene wont go until night falls.. to fill our boredem, we took group pictures and all.. one of them thought of opening a group in friendster so that we could put all the pictures in it and to keep contact.. talk jokes.. a few of them played basketball (not exactly bball but using the bball to play football, volleyball, hockey n so on) haha *really funny.. ate some snacks which we do not know what is it called.. we called it the keledek coconut, the pandan tortoise or the lil frog egg/kiwi seed kuih.. the 2 girls who were eating with me, Su lynn and Ee Lin should know what is it… lol this shows how bored we were..
The day was getting darker and the director had to use false lights to make the ad as if it was in the afternoon.. I do not know how they do it but anyway… we waited until 8.. then they told us we could go back, so we did not do the last scene.. well we didnt ask why we didnt do the last scene coz all of us was so eager to go back.. When everyone else was packing there stuff and go back.. Su Lynn n i waited at the food court opposite the stadium.. waited for her parents to come pick us up.. then Oga, one of us came and join us too.. sat down and chat a lil and did a lil bit of cam whoring.. lol.. we waited and so came my friend’s parents.. they droped me off at subang parade.. from there my mom picked me up..went back and ate my dinner.. i was so hungry i ate sweet and sour chicken with egg and vege.. around 1130,12 i went to bed i couldnt take it.. i was bushed.. the next morning i got up at 12.. felt a lil tired but better..
I had fun with my friends on that day.. met alot of new friends.. it was cool.. but that job was tiring.. i think its because of the weather.. yes the SUN.. damn i hate you.. n i totally agree that we were underpaid.. however, it made my day.. this is what i call learn from experience..
